Lynn grew up in the UK and after graduating in landscape architecture traveled to several countries doing both design and illustration before settling in Yellowstone. Lynn was a landscape architect and project manager for Yellowstone National Park for many years and is now a sustainability manager for the National Park Service. Lynn painted many of the trail head orientation exhibits seen around Yellowstone and has completed commissions for paintings of historic buildings throughout the region. Lynn went through a bit of a dry spell from fine art while designing and building her house and cabin in her spare time, but is now excited to be painting again with a new commitment and determination to improve.
"I strive to learn how to represent our world and the emotion it holds for us accurately but without copying it exactly. With this goal in mind I use pastel, pencil, and acrylic mediums but my favorite is watercolor as it never ceases to amaze and inspire me when done well, it also has a mind of its own so will always challenge me, and keep me humble. I want to make art available to everyone and painting in watercolor also enables prints to be made of any size at a reasonable price. Please reach out if you see an image you like and suggest one you don't ... I am always looking for new ideas." - Lynn Bickerton Vertical Divider
