Karen Garre's painting is a fusion of southwest and northwest contemporary elements of art put into her own unique style. She most often builds her paintings by first putting down a bright colored under painting, then applying arbitrary color as she sees fit for what she wants to portray about the scene.
Karen's work has been included in shows at the Orange County Museum in California, the Holter Museum, the Governor's Mansion, the Yellowstone Art Museum and the Charlie Russell Museum in Montana, and the Nicolaysen Museum in Wyoming. She's been a featured artist at the Gunnar Nordstrom Gallery in Seattle. Her work has been shown in New York and collected world wide. In 2018 she was chosen as the Poster Artist for the Plein Air on the Yellowstone.
